And So It Begins

Finding a way off Naboo is easy. Finding a way off Naboo without being noticed, not so much. It's not like I had anything to hide really but if my parents moved me off to some secluded commune there must have been a good reason. Sure, there's always the threat of danger when the Empire is around but the Federation had treated us well, as far as I knew anyway. Nobody here knew me but I felt it important to stay as safe as possible. I tried to keep to the back alleys and shade my face with my cloak hood as best I could. I made it safely to a hanger and was met by a glorious and confusing site. Naboo makes some of the most beautiful ships I've ever seen. The J-Types are no exception. In the hanger was a 327 but instead of its magnificent chrome plating this had been re-imagined. The dark Teal and Black colored hull sent shivers down my spine. My parents spent most of their time running, fighting, surviving. The more time they spent on Corellia, the more likely they were to remain there. My Grandfather, Rostek, urged them to flee, far from the Core. They made it as far as Naboo in the Middle Rim before deciding that running was no life. Stand and fight for what's right or die trying. Naboo was as good of a place as any. I mean, look at how beautiful it is! Who wouldn't want to stop here? They worked hard, trying to make an honest living while helping the locals and the Rebels in the shadows. My father, Rennek, kept up the charade by working in the local markets but made use of his engineering skills at night, repairing Rebel fighters. My mother, Dalla, did her best to mend the citizens at the hospital while healing the other kind of Rebel fighters under the cover of darkness.
