And So It Begins
Finding a way off Naboo is easy. Finding a way off Naboo without being noticed, not so much. It's not like I had anything to hide really but if my parents moved me off to some secluded commune there must have been a good reason. Sure, there's always the threat of danger when the Empire is around but the Federation had treated us well, as far as I knew anyway. Nobody here knew me but I felt it important to stay as safe as possible. I tried to keep to the back alleys and shade my face with my cloak hood as best I could. I made it safely to a hanger and was met by a glorious and confusing site. Naboo makes some of the most beautiful ships I've ever seen. The J-Types are no exception. In the hanger was a 327 but instead of its magnificent chrome plating this had been re-imagined. The dark Teal and Black colored hull sent shivers down my spine.
"A real beaut ain't she?!" a voice calls out. It wasn't until I tried to respond that I realized my mouth was gaping. "Yeah it is! Why such a change in scenery?" "Can't sneak past the Empire in a glowing silver starship now can you?", the pilot replied. "Sounds like just the person I'm looking for. Any chance I can hitch a ride off this place - um, sorry, what's your name?" "Name's Eeson, Eeson Gynt. I can certainly help ya', for the right price of course.", the Nautolan grinned. I'd only met one Nautolan before and she wasn't as creepy as this guy - the patch certainly doesn't help. Let's see how this goes. "I'm sorry, I don't have much. This would be the first time I've ever gone off world and survive off the land mostly. Will this do?" Jhor Dan hands Eeson a couple thousand credits as the Nautolan looks on inquisitively. "Not much here and barely covers fuel my boy! You seem like an honest lad. You won't be able to leave the Mid Rim I'm afraid but I'm willing to take you for a few days travel." Not knowing too much about the galaxy, I wasn't sure what to expect. I know it's pretty big out there but how big? Maybe I'd be content just seeing what was out there with no destination in mind? "Sure, that sounds just fine with me. Who knows, maybe I can pull my weight around the ship and earn some extended time?" Eeson lets out a hearty laugh, "Easy my boy, let's see how these first couple days go! Climb aboard, set your stuff down in the cargo hold, and get ready for the trip of yer life!" And so it begins...
